Seven years ago, in Los Angeles, I started taking my dinky point-and-shoot everywhere, snapping pictures of my friends, mostly so I could remember some of the crazy goings on. Soon I was stumbling excitedly to my camera on those morning afters to discover what gems I might have captured the night before. All the while thanking my lucky stars that my bff's were such gorgeous, well-dressed hams.

Beneath the fun, though, it became apparent that I was also capturing something... special. These tilted angles and cropped details were reflecting our intimacy better than anything more formal ever could. As I added more and more pieces, I found that I was actually crafting a narrative—telling "our" story. It was a photographer's dream. And it is where I found my "eye."

Of course, good times like those cannot go on forever and that high came to an end. I've always wanted to preserve it, wrap it up in a bow, for myself and for my beautiful girls. This book is that gift and I'd like to share it with you.
